Grasshopper shows us who’s the “New Dorks”

My favourite Youtube videos tend to be the spoofs that have so high production values and well, effort put into them that they can stand along as their own song. This video makes me proud to be a nerd and is more than a little inspiring. Viral or not, it's pretty kickass.

Cell size, scale and you.

zoom

Zoom from a coffee bean to a single carbon atom, and gain some appreciation for the scale of things that affect you every day. Below is the classic video (and Best Thing Ever contender) "Powers of Ten", which instead zooms out from coffee-bean-scale to  eventually encompass the observable universe. (Via Reddit.)

Methinks I’ll be visiting Active Surplus soon…

Think about the pros:

It can be used for lightpainting.

I'll stop burning my fingers when trying to light a roach or a bowl.

I'll be able to blind my enemies when they ask me for a light.

I may one day rule the world...
